Akshay Mohan is a PhD candidate in the Fluid Interfaces Group at the MIT Media Lab. He is a pioneer in wearables, computational social science and sensor-based behavior analytics. His current interests focus on building personal AI systems to automatically measure and model human behavior, and the future of work. A serial technology intrapreneur and innovator, his research has been featured in popular press and journals alike including Harvard Business Review, Technology Review and multiple media outlets. Akshay holds a SM in Media Arts and sciences from MIT Media Laboratory and a B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. Prior, he was Associate Director at the World Economic Forum responsible for the science and technology program of their flagship Annual Meetings in Davos and China; Head of Research and Innovation, BASE™ at Wipro Technologies and Developmental Entrepreneurship Fellow at MIT.
