Product Designer, Hasbro's Integrated Play
Ben is the Technical Product Designer for Hasbro’s Integrated Play, which blends physical smart toys and digital games, including all of Hasbro’s XR initiatives. At Carnegie Mellon University, under gaming luminary Jesse Schell (author of “The Art of Game Design”), Ben made his first VR game in 2007. Ben’s VR experience, the Alien Makeout Simulator, won the best single-player design award at the Boston Festival of Indie Game in 2014, was featured on Comedy Central’s @Midnight, and YouTube personality PewDiePie’s video covering it received 5m+ views in 2 days. Ben has designed hundreds of playful innovations at EA, Nexon, Sharp Electronics Japan, Rosetta Stone, Lockheed Martin, and with Will Wright, legendary designer of SimCity, Spore and the Sims. Most recently, Ben’s team won the AR Grand Prize at the 2017 Reality, Virtually Hackathon at MIT.
