Over the the past thirty years award winning executive and producer Charlie Fink has created and launched new media brands for Disney, AOL, and American Greetings. He is best known for coming up with the original idea for Disney’s “Lion King” (Bambi in Africa).
In addition to his work on the second golden age at Disney animation (85-92), Fink was SVP & Chief Creative Officer of AOL Studios (95-99). His past experience also features founding and selling several companies: including eAgents, which was sold to American Greetings Interactive, where he then served as President for three years; and Charlie Company, an SEO/SEM affiliate marketer and consultancy that was sold in a private transaction in 2014. From 1992 – 1995 Fink was EVP & COO of Virtual World Entertainment, a pioneering VR startup later sold to Microsoft. He is currently the covering VR, AR and new media for Forbes. He is leading writer on VR/Technology on Medium, The Huffington Post and is a VR Industry Analyst and Contributing Editor to the print and online publication VRVoice.co.
Charlie Fink is also a producer of live theater in New York City. His musical comedy, “Baghdaddy”, which the NY Times called “an important, cunning, rock solid musical comedy” opens at St. Luke’s Theater on April 6, 2017. Charlie is Producing Artistic Director of the not-for-profit New Musical Foundation (http://newmusuicalfoundation.org), which supports the development of new musicals through readings, workshops, and festival productions which have won collectively over 15 awards. Fink is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Drama Desk Award winning NY Musical Festival.
