Julia Beabout is co-founder and CEO of Novaby, a global, virtual art production company specializing in 3D content and augmented reality. As Director of Design, she has over 20 years experience guiding clients, artists and engineers through complex 3D projects up to $200 million, from concept through completion, in the virtual and physical worlds. She and the Novaby team are passionate about helping content creators, studios and developers realize their creative and artistic vision. They are especially excited about projects at the intersection of art, tech, humanities and social justice.
Julia has a degree in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University and a masters degree in Asian Studies from Florida International University in Miami. She is also co-founder of Tech in the Tenderloin (TNT), a non-profit that connects low-opportunity youth and families with emerging, high-opportunity tech through fun activities and events. After hosting a mobile AR hackathon and Tech Festival in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco to engage the public in tackling the neighborhood’s most challenging problems, she co-founded the nonprofit in 2017 to support on-going interest in the initiative and tech education in the Tenderloin and beyond.
