Senior Researcher of Neuroscience, Meta
Moqian Tian is the senior researcher of Neuroscience at Meta. Her work involves multiple aspect of the augmented reality device, including design, optics, sensor characterization, machine learning algorithms. She also contributed to the creation of the Spatial Interface Guideline, bridging neuroscience knowledge with spatial computing. Before she joined Meta, she received her Ph.D from Kalanit Grill-Spector’s lab at Stanford. She studied how people learn to recognized 3D objects from multiple depth cues using psychophysics and modeling. She also had interest in investigating what contribute to the individual differences in face perception, using fMRI and behavioral genetics. Now she seeks to apply the methods and domain knowledge of vision science and neuroscience to build the next generation augmented reality devices.
