Virtual Reality Fellow in residence at NEW INC
Rachel Rossin is a Virtual Reality Fellow in residence at NEW INC. She is a multimedia artist who works in painting, installation, and programming to investigate the disparate realities of the physical and digital.
Her current body of work mines CAD and virtual-reality spatial relationships, translating them into oil paintings and allowing the subject matter and medium to coalesce in a feedback loop.
Rachel is a major rising new star in the VR art world. The NY Times has written about her work recently with lavish praise. Her multiplayer co-located VR piece won best in show in VR at Sundance this year and she is a New Inc VR Fellow in Residence. Rachel represents the future of multi-person co-located VR/AR interactive art.
