As a Technology Innovation Manager at PegaSystems in Cambridge. Scott Niejadlik spends his days researching and prototyping concepts for how new and emerging technology will play a part in Pega’s current and future capabilities. He received his Bachelors in New Media Design and Imaging followed by his master’s education in Computer Graphic Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Prior to Pega, he had spent over 15 years professionally concepting and developing experiences that push the boundaries of user interaction for brands such as MINI Cooper, Puma, Comcast, AthenaHealth, Converse, and Kodak back in the day. In his free time he continues the same work as a digital artist and developer. Recently he has been strongly focused on developing augmented data visualization and sound based artistic experiences and concepts. One of his projects SoundscapeAR is an artistic exploration which explores the concept of freely constructing virtual room scale sound and light sculptures and freely mixing tracks based on your location. Eventually he is looking to create a platform for artists and music fans to create and share their creations. He is also co-developing a remake of a classic video game concept that incorporates room transforming and network play. His team won Microsoft’s “Best use of the Mixed Reality platform” back in October at MIT’s Reality Virtually hackathon for their initial concept of the game and are looking forward to presenting and demoing their current state of the experience at ARinAction this year.
